Born as part of Velvet's second pregnancy, Joy came to Gaia's Serenity alongside her entire family: her mum Velvet, her older siblings Lacey and Henry from Velvet's first litter, and her twin Cloud. Their previous carer loved them dearly but faced an ongoing problem — the neighbor's goats kept sneaking into the yard for some unauthorized "hanky panky" with Velvet. Unable to prevent the constant escapes and unexpected pregnancies, the carer made the difficult decision to surrender the whole family to us.

And what a gift that was! Because here at Gaia's, this beautiful goat family gets to stay together forever.

Joy has thrived in sanctuary life, developing that unmistakable "spoiled little sister" energy. With two older siblings who blazed the trail and a twin to share adventures with, Joy has never known a day without love, safety, and plenty of attention. She's a delightful contradiction — cheeky enough to test boundaries and confident enough to lead the charge when treats appear, yet beneath that bold exterior is a quiet, gentle soul.

While some of the other female goats might be more reserved, Joy marches to the beat of her own drum. She's the first to investigate new things, the first to demand attention, and somehow always first in line when snacks are handed out. Classic little sister behavior. She knows exactly how to work her charm — batting those eyes, nudging for scratches, and playing just innocent enough to get away with her mischief.
