Containers for Change is a Queensland initiative that rewards you for recycling eligible drink containers — and you can donate those rewards directly to Gaia's Serenity!

Collect Containers
Gather your empty drink containers — cans, bottles, cartons, and more. Most containers between 150ml and 3L are eligible (check the label for the 10c refund mark). The more you collect, the bigger the impact!

Find a Drop off Point
Locate your nearest Containers for Change drop-off point using their website: containersforchange.com.au/qld. There are depots and reverse vending machines across Queensland for easy drop-off.
STEP 3
Use Our Code or Barcode
When you drop off your containers, enter our donation code C11544740 or scan our barcode (available below). This links your refund directly to Gaia's Serenity — no account needed!

Donate Your Earnings

What containers are eligible for the refund?
Most aluminum cans, plastic bottles, glass bottles, and liquid paperboard cartons between 150ml and 3L are eligible. Look for the 10c refund mark on the label. Common eligible containers include soft drink cans, water bottles, juice bottles, beer bottles, and iced coffee cartons. Containers NOT eligible include milk, wine, and spirits bottles, containers under 150ml or over 3L, and plain milk cartons.
Do I need to create an account to donate to Gaia's Serenity?
Nope! You don't need an account. Simply use our donation codeC11544740or scan our barcode when dropping off your containers at any Containers for Change location. The refund will automatically go straight to us — no sign-up, no fuss.
How much do containers earn, and where does the money go?
Each eligible container earns 10 cents. When you use our code (C11544740), 100% of the refund is donated directly to Gaia's Serenity to support feeding, caring for, and protecting our rescued animals. Whether you donate 10 containers ($1) or 1,000 containers ($100), every cent goes to the animals.
Where can I drop off my containers?
You can drop off containers at Containers for Change depots or reverse vending machines across Queensland. To find your nearest location, visit containersforchange.com.au/qld and use their depot locator. Some locations accept bags of mixed containers, while reverse vending machines process one container at a time.
Can I use the code multiple times, or get others to use it too?
Yes! You can use our code C11544740 as many times as you like — every visit to the depot counts. Even better, share our code with family, friends, schools, workplaces, or community groups.
